Tony was born in Blackpool in 1937.
During 1948 his parent became managers of The Royal Oak public house in Lytham Road Blackpool, they moved into the pub on Tony's 11th birthday where he lived until he left home to attend university.
Education
At the age of 5 Tony attended Rose Acre Primary School for 6 years
He spent two years at Highfield Secondary College
In 1950 he attended Blackpool Grammer School leaving in 1956 with 4 A'Levels in Mathematics, Theoretical Mechanics, Physics and Advanced Mathematics
After passing his A'Levels and leaving school Tony took a place at Manchester University where he spent 3 years from 1956 - 1959studying Mechanical Engineering achieving his degree and being awarded Bacholor of Science Degree.
Tony has been a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers since 1973.
